Riley Daen

Riley has been a qualified Veterinary Surgeon since 2021 after studying at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh and has held his current position at the practice for over 1 year. As a Veterinary Surgeon, Riley is responsible for routine and emergency consultations, surgeries and inpatient care. Riley is also involved in our internal medicine team and journal club. Riley is passionate about anaesthesia, soft tissue surgery, emergency medicine and cardiology.Outside of the practice, Riley is also an avid cyclist, reader and cook who loves to explore Edinburgh’s nature and culture as well as the rest of Europe after having been originally born and raised in the US. When not working, he makes sure to care for his cat Hamish and his partner as she continues her work in Equine medicine.
